Join other like-minded Canadian health organizations and leaders to share leadership journeys and to exchange LEADS-based initiatives, tools and programs. Created in 2006, LEADS took the best of the best of existing leadership models from around the world and applied these to the unique, “caring” health care context in Canada with distributed leadership at its core. It has become Canada’s preferred, common health leadership learning platform to develop new leaders, create change and grow individual leadership capacity.
Adoption of LEADS is widespread across the country. The intent of this day is to foster the emerging Community of Practice occurring around LEADS that began at the inaugural session held in tandem with the Halifax National Health Leadership Conference in 2012. Using survey responses from those using the LEADS framework, we will craft a day that will optimize sharing and exchange of knowledge and ideas in an interactive manner to support participants in leadership capacity building.
The day will appeal to all types of leaders from CEOs to emerging health leaders, from human resource professionals to organizational development specialists who are or are interested in using the LEADS framework for leadership capacity development. Be part of this exciting day and leave with tangible tools and information to enhance leadership capacity and improve system performance.
