Coaching and Health System Leaders Register yourself and your colleagues for our fifth session of a webinar series on Leadership Development in Canada. Health system improvement and innovation requires new leadership skills. To develop our leaders for the future, a multipronged approach to leadership development must be used and coaching is an integral piece for this. This free, interactive session is available to CHLNet Network Partners and LEADS Collaborative clients. This webinar will highlight two models of coaching being used across Canada. The Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement’s Improvement Coaching Model engages experienced health system leaders as coaches for teams leading improvement, and emphasizes peer-to-peer, adult learning designed to support teams to successfully lead quality improvement work in their organization. Mainstay at CFHI, coaching is an integral component of the CFHI’s improvement approach. The second model is on the Tri-namics™ system that offers effective coaching applications towards the need organizations have to build a self-sustaining leadership community of practice. The system offers applications to foster continuous and ongoing development through each employee’s own initiative toward self-directed learning and leveraging collective shared learning through dyads, triangles and team coaching, as well as sustain more formalized learning. All applications promote just in time learning, a LEADS culture, and an organization of employees who tap into their collective intelligence and wisdom through creating value from building relationships in different ways.
